  • Transplanting Garden Phlox 1.

I need to move a bunch of Garden Phlox by my greenhouse. I’ll use several to show how to transplant.

I have a new 8’x3′ container that I want to use for other things.

It’s hard to tell, but I have about 10+ plants to dig up and move.

10+ because I can divide them into 20-30 plants, as you will see.

I don’t have video capability, so I’ll use single photos. If you have some gardening experience, you will catch on.

I just dug out a bunch of garden phlox from the dark dirt spot. I will show you how to get 2-8 new plants from this one clump.

Here is the clump, and yes, every stalk will produce a new plant if you cut it right.

Notice the separation between two sets of stalks.

I am going to take my schovel and use my foot and cut it in half.

Sweet, you just made two new plants.

    Welcome to Paul’s Garden!

I started gardening at 5. My dad and grandpa always had gardens, and I was fascinated by planting a seed and watching something grow, so it became my life’s passion.

I’ll cover everything I’ve learned about gardening over the past 65 years.
